At least 15 people have been killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine, including 10 dead in a ballistic missile strike on a drone technology exhibition near Kyiv. The daytime attack, which also injured around 100 people, was attended by prominent Ukrainian defense sector figures, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed. Emergency services were seen clearing rubble at the site outside the capital. Ukrainian air force spokesman Yuri Ihnat said three ballistic missiles were launched, with only one intercepted. Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed the strike, stating it targeted a site where drones used to attack civilian sites in Russia were being demonstrated, and that producers and representatives of Ukraine’s drone forces were present. This marks at least the third time such an exhibition has been hit since the full-scale invasion began in 2022. Zelensky said an investigation is underway into why the event was held and advertised publicly. He also warned that intelligence suggests Russia is preparing another massive missile strike within the next 48 hours. Elsewhere, five people were killed by Russian glide bombs in Sloviansk, and two more died in Sumy. On the same day, Ukraine struck a factory in Kirov, Russia, killing six, and hit warehouses of the Wildberries online retailer in the St. Petersburg area, disrupting supplies to the Russian army. Zelensky is expected to travel to the US next week for a planned meeting with President Donald Trump as Washington seeks to revive peace talks.
