Robinhood Crypto's GME tokenized stock saw 10x premium as small liquidity pool got squeezed; minting now active to close gap.

A tokenized version of GameStop stock on Robinhood's platform traded at 10 times its real stock price due to a tiny liquidity pool. The issuer is now minting more tokens to bring the price back down.

Details

A tokenized version of GameStop stock on Robinhood Crypto briefly traded at a roughly 10x premium over the real stock price, driven by a small liquidity pool of only about $200,000. Large buy orders had an outsized impact on the token's price due to the shallow pool. The issuer has now activated minting to close the gap. On-chain data shows the official mint address is continuously issuing new tokens and adding liquidity to the market, with new mint transactions occurring nearly every minute. The mint and burn functions are restricted to authorized participants and market makers who have completed Know Your Business (KYB) verification. This process aims to bring the token price back in line with the underlying stock value.
